Basicly I installed everything from scratch a month ago when switching from G5 to MacPro but there were certain folders I just dragged and dropped from the old machine. Lately I also found something not normal in my 10.5 volume.
Now i'm going to install everything from scratch. I faced it while experimenting with Snow Leopard, I gave up after a week of problems with permissions after I transfered my account from Leopard. Do you have the standalone VG open while Logic is open and you try to open a AU instance? The standalone should be off.Īdditional info about the reparing permissions: sometimes repairing permissions doesn't work as expected especially if you transfered your account from an older Mac.
Do you have the standalone VG open while attempting to install VG? It should be off, as well as other software should be off while installing anything. Did you repair permissions? To do so launch Disk Utility and do it for your startup volume. I'm sorry for asking stupid questions but: while installing, do you have Logic open? It should be switched off.
